Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse é um filme de animação produzido pela Columbia Pictures e Sony Pictures Animation em associação com a Marvel. Foi dirigido por Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey e Rodney Rothman a partir de um roteiro de Phil Lord e Rothman, e uma história de Lord em 2018. Os planos para um filme animado do Homem-Aranha por Lord e Christopher Miller vazaram em 2014 e foram anunciados em abril de 2015. Persichetti, Ramsey e Rothman se juntaram nos dois anos seguintes, com Moore e Schreiber escalados em abril de 2017. Lord e Miller queriam que o filme tivesse um estilo único, combinando o pipeline de animação por computador da Sony Pictures Imageworks com técnicas tradicionais de histórias em quadrinhos desenhadas à mão inspiradas no trabalho da cocriadora de Miles Morales, Sara Pichelli. THE STORY
In Medieval Scotland, Merida, a young princess of the Dunbroch clan, is given a bow and arrow by her father, King Fergus, for her birthday. Her mother, Queen Elinor, is dismayed. While venturing into the woods to fetch a stray arrow, Merida encounters a will-o’-the-wisp. Soon afterwards, Mor’du, a huge demon bear, attacks the family. Merida flees on horseback with Elinor, while Fergus fends off Mor’du, though the fight costs him one of his legs. Now a teenager, Merida discovers that to her dismay, she is to be betrothed to the son of one of her father’s allies. Reminding Merida of a legend of a prince whose pride and refusal to follow his father’s wishes destroyed his kingdom, Elinor explains that failure to consent to the betrothal could harm Dunbroch..
